Edward specialises in leading large-scale estate renewal and housing
projects, working collaboratively with local residents to drive forward the
delivery of high-quality council homes.
He is currently leading the team on the Kings Crescent Estate Masterplan in Hackney, with a design strategy that integrates new buildings with refurbished social housing with new gardens and well-planned public routes. The first two phases were completed in 2017 and won the Mayor’s Prize at the New London Awards in the same year. Edward is now leading the next phases of the project through early design stages which will provide additional new homes, a Community Centre and workspaces.
Edward has also been working on a scheme which will transform three train station carparks in Harrow into sites for locally affordable homes, a strategy which will help to confront the pressing housing shortage in the borough and encourage sustainable travel into the city.
Edward joined Karakusevic Carson from Haverstock Associates in 2012 where he led a series of successful primary and secondary school schemes including the Hollymount Primary School in Wimbledon for the London Borough of Merton.
