Kieren leads our new Birmingham studio, working on council and public sector-led projects in the Midlands. She has significant knowledge of housing design and delivery for government and regional authorities, driven by a commitment to improving architecture through greater collaboration between designers, planners and local/combined authorities and engagement with residents and local communities.
Before joining Karakusevic Caron Architects in 2020, she was an Associate at BDP, Birmingham, where she worked extensively on large-scale residential, commercial and education projects for public sector clients including West Midland Combined Authority and Public Health England.
Kieren is an advocate for Diversity in the Built Environment, regularly organising events for BAA (Birmingham Architectural Association) to increase awareness in the sector. She also programmes multi-institute events in collaboration with RIBA West Midlands focussing on housing quality and design. In 2018, she was named a RIBA Rising Star for her proactive approach to elevating key issues in the sector to drive forward positive change. She studied architecture at the University of Nottingham.
