Sam specialises in working with
local authorities and residents on challenging sites across London. He is
currently running a series of projects for the Newham Council Build to Rent
programme as well as two projects for Brent
Council, in the Wembley Housing Zone and South Kilburn Regeneration areas.
Sam previously led the team on the first phase of the Fenwick Estate in Lambeth, a Council-owned housing project built in partnership with Transport for London. The project creates 55 new homes with a community hall as part of the Community Benefit Programme for the Northern Line Extension at Vauxhall and aims to provide an exemplar for high-quality housing that will inform wider regeneration across the Borough. He was also the associate in charge of the Kidbrooke Northside scheme in Greenwich, also for TfL.
Prior to joining Karakusevic Carson Architects in 2012, Sam led a masterplan for the regeneration of the Aberfeldy Estate in East London at Casey Fierro Architects. He regularly appears as a guest critic for the Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University.
